Revenge Porn

Nonconsensual pornography, often called revenge porn, refers to the practice of distributing sexually explicit photographs or videos of individuals without their consent. The intimate images may be shared by a current or former partner in an intimate relationship. In some cases, the images are extracted from the victim’s phone/device without their knowledge. This type of abuse intersects with sexual abuse.

While the first offense for revenge porn or distribution of an intimate image is a misdemeanor, subsequent offenses can result in felony charges. Penalties can range from incarceration to stiff fines. Facing consequences for revenge porn can be extremely stressful so it is important to obtain experienced legal counsel. This is where Susanne Gustin Attorney at Law steps in.
